Coffetek office coffee machines cover compact bean-to-cup systems, fresh-milk machines and larger self-service vending equipment, with freshbrew and instant options alongside them. Coffetek is a UK-based manufacturer within Spain’s Azkoyen Group, and the right choice depends on the exact brewing system, milk arrangement and workload, not simply the Vitro or Neo name.

In short

  • Coffetek’s current UK address is in Bradley Stoke, Bristol. Portishead appears in its earlier company history.
  • Vitro includes bean-to-cup and instant machines; bean-to-cup does not automatically mean fresh milk.
  • Manufacturer recommendations include up to 60 drinks daily for the S1, 150 for the X1, and 250 or 350 for specified Series 3 configurations.
  • Neo is a freestanding hot-drinks vending range. Palma is associated with snacks and cold drinks, not coffee brewing.
  • UK manufacturing operations are documented, but this does not establish that every model or component is wholly UK-made.

Coffetek’s background and UK manufacturing

Coffetek Limited is a UK-registered company incorporated on 2 August 1993. Its registered office and the manufacturer’s published contact address are at Unit 1, Interplex 16, Ash Ridge Road, Bradley Stoke, Bristol.

The company belongs to the Spanish Azkoyen Group, whose ultimate parent is Azkoyen S.A., based in Navarra. There is a useful ownership distinction: the group’s current corporate information places Coffetek within the subsidiaries of Azkoyen Vending & Payment Solutions, itself under Azkoyen S.A. Describing Coffetek as part of Azkoyen Group is accurate without implying that the listed parent necessarily owns it directly.

Company fact panel

  • Company: Coffetek Limited, company number 02841455.
  • UK base: Bradley Stoke, Bristol.
  • Parent group: Azkoyen Group, Spain, headed by Azkoyen S.A.
  • Main machine classes: automatic tabletop coffee machines, freestanding hot-drinks vending machines, and associated snack and cold-drinks equipment.
  • UK support: a published UK contact point and a manufacturer technical portal offering documentation, spare-parts information and repair resources.

Portishead and Bradley Stoke should not be treated as interchangeable addresses. Azkoyen’s company history identifies the earlier Portishead base, while its relocation announcement documents a move to a Bradley Stoke plant, with coffee-machine assembly lines and storage facilities.

This supports describing Coffetek as a UK-based business with documented UK design and manufacturing operations. It does not support an unrestricted claim that every Coffetek machine, grinder, electronic board or milk module is British-made. Where manufacturing origin matters to procurement, request a written declaration for the exact model.

Understanding the Coffetek range

Coffetek’s range makes more sense when separated by what happens inside the machine.

Bean-to-cup equipment grinds whole beans and brews the coffee automatically. Freshbrew equipment brews ground coffee or leaf tea with water rather than dissolving an instant ingredient. Instant machines mix soluble ingredients with water.

Milk is a separate decision. A bean-to-cup machine can prepare its coffee from beans while making the milk portion from powder or granules.

Vitro S1 and X1: smaller workplace systems

The Vitro S1 is the compact starting point. Coffetek’s current S1 Evo data sheet recommends consumption of up to 60 cups daily and specifies a 4-litre water tank, with a mains-water connection option.

The X1 occupies a higher recommended workload category, with the manufacturer’s range brochure giving up to 150 cups daily for the specified Espresso and Double Bean versions. The current Series 1 line-up includes S1 Espresso, S1 Instant, X1 Espresso and X1 MIA fresh-milk configurations.

For a small office, the first question is therefore not “Which S1?” but “Do we want beans or instant coffee, and which milk system will staff actually maintain?”

X3, Series 3 and Series 5: check the full name

Coffetek still lists X3 Espresso and X3 Duo within its Vitro 2, 3, 4 family. That family also includes instant and fresh-leaf-tea variants.

The newer Vitro Series 3 is separately listed. Its published features include a second boiler, a variable brewing group and optional configurations for fresh leaf tea. Do not assume that an X3 and a Series 3 are the same machine because both names contain a three.

Series 5 includes S5 Espresso, S5 Espresso MIA and X5 variants. Coffetek positions these for higher-volume and unattended settings, although unattended dispensing still needs a replenishment and cleaning plan.

Where the M5 fits

The Vitro M5 is a documented Coffetek fresh-milk model, launched on 19 January 2021. Its MIA system uses micro-injected air to produce milk foam, and the launch information specifies a variable brewing unit.

Current manufacturer navigation instead highlights Series 5 models including S5 Espresso MIA. Treat an M5 quotation as model-specific: request its current data sheet, production status, milk-system specification and parts support. The older name alone does not prove either discontinuation or equivalence to a current S5.

Neo and Palma

Neo is Coffetek’s freestanding hot-drinks vending family. Published configurations include instant drinks, espresso with freshbrew tea, and freshbrew coffee with freshbrew tea. It also supports payment technologies and automatic cup dispensing.

Palma needs correcting in any coffee-machine shortlist: Coffetek’s published Palma material describes snack and cold-drinks vending equipment. Its current website directs the former Palma address to Zeru, another snack-and-drink range. A Palma may accompany a coffee station, but it is not the coffee brewer.

If that broader vending approach appeals, Necta office machines are a useful next comparison.

Capacity: match the machine to demand

Use three criteria before shortlisting: daily drinks, the busiest break-time queue, and replenishment between visits.

The following are manufacturer-published recommendations or descriptions, not independently verified throughput results. Specifications were checked in November 2026; obtain the current sheet for the exact configuration.

Machine or family Published capacity information Likely workplace fit Main qualification
Vitro S1 Evo Up to 60 cups daily Smaller office tea point Tank filling and waste emptying still matter
Vitro X1 Espresso or Double Bean Up to 150 cups daily in the range brochure Busier shared coffee point Check milk system and brewer
Vitro Series 3 Up to 250 cups daily Larger shared workplace Confirm exact equipment specification
Vitro Series 3 MAX Up to 350 cups daily Higher daily demand Larger ingredient storage does not eliminate servicing
Vitro S5 Espresso Up to 250 cups daily in the range brochure Higher-volume self-service Website wording differs from brochure
Neo Configuration-dependent vending capacity Staff rooms and larger vending locations Cup storage is not a daily production rating

There is a genuine manufacturer-document discrepancy for Series 5: its webpage describes more than 250 cups daily, while the range brochure recommends up to 250 for S5 Espresso. Use the brochure figure as a conservative screening reference, then seek written confirmation rather than silently choosing the larger claim.

An illustrative headcount matrix

This example assumes two machine drinks per person attending daily, no visitors and no other demand. It is arithmetic for planning, not a Coffetek staffing recommendation.

People attending Assumed daily drinks Initial range to investigate
20 40 S1
50 100 X1
100 200 Series 3 or Series 5
150 300 Series 3 MAX or multiple coffee points

Daily totals do not settle queue performance. Ask the supplier to demonstrate consecutive drinks in your intended mug, especially if most staff want milk drinks at the same break.

Milk, space and daily operation

The physical machine is only part of the installation.

Coffetek publishes S1 Espresso dimensions of 305 mm wide, 625 mm high and 430 mm deep. Its X1 MIA page specifies 337 mm machine width plus 230 mm for the refrigerator, illustrating why a fresh-milk installation needs more room than the coffee-machine body suggests.

Before approving a location, request a drawing showing hopper-filling clearance, door opening, refrigerator access, water connections and waste removal. Have the supplier assess the actual installation water and specify filtration and maintenance requirements, rather than selecting a filter from a generic national hardness assumption.

For milk drinks, ask to see the complete cleaning routine, including removable parts and refrigerator care. Coffetek’s brochure distinguishes MIA FreshMilk from MIA EasyMilk and gives different manual-cleaning schedules. Do not transfer an advertised cleaning interval from one system to another.

A practical acceptance check is to ask someone who will actually look after the machine to complete the demonstrated routine. If it is awkward during a demonstration, do not assume it will become convenient on a busy Friday.

UK service and ongoing commitments

Coffetek provides a technical portal for dealers and professional repairers, covering manuals, firmware, spare-parts information and warranty-related processes. That is useful manufacturer infrastructure, but it is not proof of a particular response time at your office.

Ask the contracting supplier to confirm:

  1. Who installs, commissions and adjusts the recipes.
  2. Who replenishes ingredients and performs routine cleaning.
  3. Which engineer covers your postcode and operating hours.
  4. Whether the service commitment means attendance or restoration.
  5. Which parts, maintenance tasks and water-related faults are excluded.
  6. What happens if the machine cannot be repaired promptly.

For your own operating comparison, include equipment provision, installation, beans, milk, soluble ingredients, cleaning products, filters, servicing, utilities and staff time. Obtain itemised written quotations, make the VAT basis consistent, and divide the total over your chosen period by the drinks you realistically expect to serve.

Pros, cons and who Coffetek suits

Our assessment uses range breadth, operational suitability, published capacities and support arrangements, rather than an unsupported reliability ranking.

Advantages

  • Several brewing approaches: beans, instant ingredients and freshbrew options allow different workplace priorities to be addressed.
  • Choice of milk arrangements: suitable configurations can serve either soluble-milk or fresh-milk requirements.
  • Tabletop and freestanding formats: the range covers conventional tea points and dedicated vending areas.
  • Documented UK operations: there is a UK business base and manufacturer technical support infrastructure.

Limitations

  • Names require careful checking: X3, Series 3, M5 and S5 MIA should not be treated as interchangeable specifications.
  • Capacity claims need context: daily recommendations do not establish real break-time waiting times.
  • Fresh milk adds operational decisions: refrigerator space and the exact cleaning process need approval.
  • Reliability is not established here: manufacturer literature cannot substantiate an independent failure-rate comparison.

Coffetek office coffee machines deserve consideration where the workplace wants a self-service drinks system, particularly when instant drinks, chocolate or brewed tea matter alongside coffee. Shortlist the exact configuration, taste its drinks and approve its care routine before choosing the brand.

FAQ

Can a Coffetek machine provide decaffeinated coffee?

Some configurations can provide decaffeinated coffee, but the ingredient route needs checking. Coffetek’s Neo brochure includes instant decaffeinated selections, while certain Vitro machines offer separate bean hoppers. Ask which ingredient your proposed machine uses for decaf and whether the supplier can configure the menu accordingly; “decaf available” does not necessarily mean freshly ground decaffeinated beans.

Can Coffetek machines foam plant-based milk?

Coffetek states that the M5’s MIA system can foam plant-based milks. That is a manufacturer capability claim, not a guarantee that every product will produce the same texture. Request a demonstration using your intended drink and ingredient, and obtain model-specific cleaning and allergen-handling instructions rather than assuming compatibility across the whole range.

Will one bean-hopper fill last all day?

Not necessarily: bean capacity, coffee dose and daily demand must be considered together. For illustration, a 1.2 kg hopper contains 1,200 g, giving a theoretical 120 drinks at an assumed 10 g per drink. This excludes adjustment, purging and unusable residue, so it is a planning calculation rather than a guaranteed refill interval.
